💔 When the Healer Needs Healing: A Plea for Dr. Kirimi Thuranira 🙏

For more than two decades, Dr. Kirimi Thuranira has dedicated his life to healing others. As a compassionate and selfless medical doctor, he has served tirelessly in Samburu and Meru Counties, often going beyond the call of duty to bring care to those in remote villages and underserved communities. His patients know him not just for his clinical skill, but for his warm heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering dedication to those in need.

But today, it is he who needs us.

Since April last year, Dr. Thuranira’s life has taken a painful and difficult turn. What began as a worrying diagnosis has now become a grueling medical journey. He has undergone chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and two major surgeries in the past year alone. Despite these intense efforts, the tumor has tragically recurred.

He now requires further specialized treatment to continue fighting. But this journey has come at an overwhelming financial cost. His insurance has been exhausted, family savings depleted, and the burden is now weighing heavily on him and his loved ones. The emotional, physical, and financial toll is immense — and yet, through it all, Dr. Kirimi continues to show the same strength and courage he once gave to his patients.

But no one should face this kind of battle alone.

That’s why family and friends have come together to organize a fundraiser in his honor — not just to raise money, but to stand in the gap when one of our own is falling.
